Common Issues
Start with the section that matches what you were doing.
Recording
The recorder opened but did not start
That is expected.
Tap the main recorder control to start recording.
I want to throw away a recording
Tap Discard before saving. The timer returns to 0:00.
I closed the recorder while recording
AIFor.ms asks before closing an active recording. Choose the option that matches what you want to do.
Transcription
Transcription failed
Try this:
- Open the recording.
- Tap the retry button.
- If it fails again, record a shorter version.
- Move away from loud background noise if possible.
The transcript has mistakes
That can happen with noise, overlapping speakers, or unclear audio.
Use the transcript as a starting point. For an important final artifact, review the text before converting.
Conversions
I cannot create a conversion
Check these:
- The transcript or custom text is not empty.
- Custom text has at least 100 characters.
- Your monthly conversion limit has not been reached.
- The conversion type is available for your plan or enabled module.
I want to change an artifact
Artifacts are final.
To get a different result:
- Change the transcript, custom text, prompt, or AI settings.
- Run the conversion again.
File Import
My file will not import
Try this:
- Check the file type.
- Check the file size.
- Try from web if your phone does not show the file type.
- If the file is an image or scanned PDF, make sure the text is readable.
Drive Backups
A provider says "Not ready yet"
That provider is not ready in the current app environment.
Use another provider or contact support.
Google opens an app setup error
Stop there. This is not something you can fix inside AIFor.ms.
Contact support and say: "Google Drive backup opens an app setup error."
I cannot find my backup files
Look for a folder named:
aiforms
Disconnecting a drive stops new backups. It does not delete files already saved in your drive.
Account And Settings
I already verified my email but the app still shows the verification screen
Try this:
- Return to AIFor.ms.
- Tap I've Verified My Email.
- Wait a few seconds for the app to refresh your account status.
If it still does not move forward, sign out and sign in again.
The app says I must change my password before I can continue
That means your account is in a required password update state.
Use your current password once, enter the new password you want to keep, and finish the update before trying other parts of the app.
If the current password does not work, contact support or the person who reset your account password.
I cannot find AI Configuration
Open Settings → AI Configuration.
You can also open it from the app drawer.
I cannot find Drive Backups
Open Settings → Integrations & Sync → Drive Backups.
