Conversion Types
A conversion turns text into a final artifact.
You can convert:
- A transcript from a recording.
- Text you type into Type to Convert.
- Text imported from a supported file.
Important
Artifacts are final. AIFor.ms does not keep working on an artifact after it is produced.
To change the result:
- Update the transcript, custom text, prompt, or AI settings.
- Run the conversion again.
Free Conversions
Free accounts include these core conversion types:
- Summary
- Bullet Points

- Plan (Scaffolded)

- Action Items (Scaffolded)
Standard Paid Conversions
Base and Pro accounts include the free conversions plus more standard options, such as:

- Spreadsheet
Some conversion availability depends on your plan and enabled packs.
Academic Pack
The Academic Pack adds academic and teaching-focused conversions:
- Academic Research
- Statistics

- Lesson Plan
- Essay Explainer
If you see a lock, open Settings → AI Configuration and check whether the pack can be enabled for your account.
Choosing A Conversion
Use this shortcut:

Custom Text
You do not need a recording.
- Open Recordings.
- Tap Type to Convert.
- Type or paste text.
- Choose a conversion.
Typed text needs at least 100 characters. Manually typed text is capped at 10,000 characters.
