Transcription turns your recording into text.

What Happens​

  1. You stop a recording.
  2. AIFor.ms saves the audio.
  3. AIFor.ms creates a transcript.
  4. The transcript appears on the recording detail screen.

You do not need to press a separate transcription button after a normal recording.

What It Handles Well​

  • Some code-switching between languages.
  • Messy first drafts.

What Helps​

  • Speak close enough to the microphone.
  • Reduce background noise when possible.
  • Use shorter recordings for important work.
  • Review the transcript before creating a final artifact.

If Transcription Fails​

  1. Open the recording.
  2. Look for the retry button.
  3. Try again.

If it still fails, record a shorter version or move to a quieter place.
